5 March marked an important milestone for the FM Foundation. At our Board of Directors’ meeting, our country representatives from Vietnam, Poland and the Czech Republic presented three new organisations with a clear objective: to formally integrate them into our network of partners. Following approval by the board members, these collaborations strengthen the Foundation’s collective momentum and the commitment of our staff on the ground.

Vietnam: Education as a lever for empowerment with Vietnam Children’s Fund

The Vietnam Children’s Fund focuses on the fundamental lever of education and the protection of vulnerable children to break the cycle of poverty. This partnership is being implemented directly across our seven sites in Vietnam, where our teams are working to organise and ensure the distribution of meals and school kits to 524 children. Furthermore, our staff will also be able to get involved in activities focused on sharing and passing on knowledge, with the aim of fostering the development of young people and strengthening social bonds.

Poland: A bulwark against vulnerability with the Chance Foundation

A key partner working closely with our operations in Glogow, the Chance Foundation provides holistic care for young victims of violence to support their recovery. The commitment of our Polish staff lies at the heart of this resilience-building approach, combining operational and personal support. By actively contributing to the refurbishment of the centre’s living spaces, our teams provide a safe and welcoming environment for the180 young people in care, whilst personally getting involved in organising mediation workshops and team-building events that are essential to their recovery journey.

Czech Republic: Towards independence with the Ledce orphanage and Srdce na dlani

In partnership with the NGO Srdce na dlani, the Foundation is extending its support model to the Ledce orphanage in the Czech Republic. The aim is to ensure a smooth transition for young people into adulthood by equipping them with the skills necessary for their future integration. In Tuchomerice, our teams are working to facilitate this skills transfer through work placements at our logistics sites and mentoring sessions. This investment in people is also supported by funding for psychological coaching, enabling us to offer the 38 beneficiaries concrete prospects for the future and a solid bridge to the world of work.
