On International Women’s Day, the FM Foundation reaffirms its commitment to breaking glass ceilings and supporting women in their quest for independence and success. Throughout the year, thanks to the involvement of our employees and the strength of our partnerships, we take concrete action to ensure that gender is never a barrier to anyone’s potential.
Promoting professional integration and opening up careers
Professional integration is at the heart of our DNA. In India, our collaboration with the NGO Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y) perfectly illustrates this ambition. At our centres in Bangalore, we support young women from highly disadvantaged backgrounds in developing their IT skills and professional attitude, and introduce them to careers in logistics through visits to platforms and mentoring. More recently, we launched the Nai Asha – Nai Disha programme with the NGO Work for Equality in Talegaon, where we support the economic empowerment of marginalised young women by teaching them key technical skills. We have also opened a sewing centre, providing marginalised young women with key technical skills to ensure their economic independence.
Raising awareness among future generations
Equality is built from an early age through education and the dismantling of stereotypes. In Spain, together with Save the Children, our teams run awareness-raising workshops for teenagers, creating essential spaces for dialogue on feminism and mutual respect. These moments of exchange are crucial for preparing a more equitable society.
Ensuring academic success and first employment
We are convinced that long-term support is the key to lasting independence, which is why we pay particular attention to academic success and securing first employment. In France, through the Distinctive Scholarship programme with the University of Strasbourg Foundation, we enable female students at EM Strasbourg to pursue their studies with peace of mind thanks to financial support coupled with mentoring by our employees. In Brazil, the Pescar Foundation programme offers young women comprehensive socio-professional training, enabling them to learn the codes of the business world and regain confidence in their future. Finally, in Poland, the Robinson project helps young women leaving child protection facilities enter the job market by offering them long-term internships at our platforms, creating a real springboard to employment.
At FM Foundation, every CV review workshop, every hour of mentoring and every scholarship generously contributes to a global movement. Together, let’s continue to inspire and build bridges to women’s empowerment wherever we operate.
