FM Logistic awarded contract from Henkel Beauty Care in São Paulo

Henkel Beauty Care has awarded FM Logistic a contract to manage inventories and distribution of its hair care products to about 150 retail stores, beauty and hair salons in São Paulo, Brazil. 

FM Logistic will manage an inventory of more than 1,500 SKUs (stock keeping units) in its logistics centre in the city of São Paulo. Deliveries will be made using an electric vehicle.

The contract is part of a Henkel project called “14  BIS”, which aims to improve the cost, quality and efficiency of its logistics activities, both from an operational and environmental perspective. 

In this regard, Henkel Beauty Care and FM Logistic have worked to replace plastic with kraft paper in their joint warehousing and transport operations, which resulted in a 94% drop in plastic use.  In addition, FM Logistic has installed solar panels at its São Paulo logistics centre. This enables to reduce the site’s CO2 emissions by 10 tons annually.

This new contract reinforces FM Logistic’s support to Henkel in Brazil, which started in 2021.
