FM Logistic secures SBTi validation for its emissions reduction targets, confirming alignment with the Paris Agreement
FM Logistic has secured SBTi validation for its 2030 emissions reduction targets, reinforcing its commitment to a low-carbon and sustainable supply chain.

As the IPCC continues to highlight the urgent need to limit global warming to 1.5°C, FM Logistic is reaching a new milestone in its sustainable transformation. The Group announces the official validation by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) of its near-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets. This approval marks a key step in its Powering 2030 strategy and confirms its ambition to become, by 2030, a leading player in sustainable omnichannel supply chain, aligned with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
Ambitious 2030 targets validated
FM Logistic commits to reducing its absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by FY2030, compared to the 2024/25 baseline, representing a reduction of eight thousand tonnes of CO₂ equivalent. This target applies to absolute emissions, regardless of business growth.
The Group also commits to reducing Scope 3 well-to-wheel transport emissions by 21.52% per tonne-kilometre* over the same period, covering heavy road freight and rail. As transport accounts for nearly three-quarters of FM Logistic’s total emissions, this commitment represents a major transformation lever. It is part of a broader strategy aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of the entire supply chain while meeting growing customer expectations for sustainable performance.

The validation of our near-term targets by the Science Based Targets initiative is not a new starting point, but scientific proof that our ambitions are fully in line with our long-term strategy. It also meets our customers’ expectations, for whom environmental responsibility has become a top priority,” said Jean-Christophe Machet, CEO of FM Logistic.
A decarbonation strategy built on concrete actions
To achieve these targets, FM Logistic is deploying a decarbonation strategy based on three complementary levers: sobriety, efficiency and substitution.
On Scopes 1 and 2, the Group focuses on energy optimisation of its facilities, transition to renewable energy and phase-out of fossil fuels. Through its eco-design approach, FM Logistic develops warehouses and automation systems designed to consume less energy from the outset. Its Watt Watcher programme further enhances energy performance through 75 active initiatives, including electrification of uses such as the deployment of electric heat pumps, and continuous optimisation of consumption.
In addition, FM Logistic has achieved its objective of covering 100% of its electricity needs with renewable sources as of FY2025/26, notably through the installation of photovoltaic panels and the sourcing of low-carbon electricity.
On Scope 3, the transport strategy focuses on reducing distances travelled, increasing modal shift to rail and accelerating the use of lower-carbon energy solutions. It relies on concrete measures such as flow pooling, load optimisation and diversification of transport modes.
“In a context of increasing systemic challenges, our priority is to build a more robust supply chain, capable of reconciling logistics performance, economic resilience and environmental responsibility. This requires rethinking our buildings, transport flows, energy choices and partnerships. This is the deep transformation we are pursuing, with a strong focus on delivery and a long-term vision,” concluded Antoine Dufetelle, Group sustainable development and QHSE director.
