In Madrid, FM Logistic and CITYlogin transform the metro into a urban logistics corridor
FM Logistic and CITYlogin are expanding an innovative urban logistics solution in Madrid, turning the metro network into a sustainable last-mile delivery corridor.

FM Logistic and its strategic partner CITYlogin are reaching a new milestone in Madrid, scaling up a urban logistics pilot within the city’s metro network into a full-scale operational solution. Building on a successful pilot in 2025, Line 3 is now becoming an integrated logistics corridor for e-commerce flows, combining locker delivery, micro-hubs and reverse logistics, with the overarching goal of reducing the surface-level impact of last-mile deliveries.
From pilot to fully integrated operational solution within the Madrid metro
Following the successful completion of a pilot phase in 2025, both entities are taking a significant step forward by industrialising a urban logistics solution in Madrid. The Group was awarded the tender issued by Metro de Madrid to operate logistics along Line 3, and has entrusted its execution to its partner CITYlogin Ibérica, a specialist in urban last-mile delivery.
This new phase marks the transition from an experimental initiative to a large-scale operational deployment. The underground network is being leveraged as a logistics infrastructure to transport goods on behalf of leading e-commerce and parcel delivery players, including Amazon, SEUR and GLS. By utilising this existing infrastructure, goods can be transported to the heart of the city without generating additional surface traffic, while enhancing the reliability and performance of urban distribution.
“The pilot project demonstrated the feasibility and safety of the solution under real-world conditions. We are now moving into an operational phase by fully integrating logistics flows into the metro’s day-to-day operations, and we are proud to contribute to shaping a new way of doing logistics in urban environments, one that is more discreet and significantly more efficient. With this new milestone, CITYlogin and FM Logistic reaffirm their position as a reference in the design of sustainable supply chain solutions, demonstrating that last-mile specialisation and public-private cooperation are essential levers in building truly smart cities “, said Daniel Latorre, managing director of CITYlogin.
With Supply Change, FM Logistic is redefining the logistics of tomorrow
This project sits at the very heart of FM Logistic’s Powering 2030 strategy, which aims to drive lasting transformation across the logistics industry through close collaboration with public stakeholders, transport operators and local partners.
In a context where urban challenges call for concrete and timely responses, FM Logistic champions an approach grounded in real-world experimentation. This methodology enables the Group to test innovative solutions, assess their operational and environmental impact, and adapt them to other urban environments. Beyond the Madrid use case, the Group aims to leverage these experiments to roll out scalable, replicable models across different territories, tailored to their specific infrastructure and operational constraints.
This approach also underpins the development of multimodal solutions, combining the most relevant transport modes to build supply chains that are increasingly robust, faster and lower in carbon emissions.
“This project is, above all, the result of exceptional collective work between our teams, CITYlogin, Metro de Madrid and all the partners involved. It illustrates what we can achieve when we bring together the right expertise around a shared objective. And our ambitions don’t stop here, we design innovations to be scalable and adaptable to the specific constraints of each city. That is how we are concretely advancing the supply chain, making it more efficient, more resilient and more decarbonized”, add Jean-Christophe Machet, CEO of FM Logistic.
